Dear colleagues, dear friends,
At the end of December the Alter Summit Coordination Committee approved the 2013 accounts and the budget for 2014 (see the Coordination Committee’s 2013 accounts and budgetary decisions of 18 December 2013 annexed).
The budget does not provide for any mass event in 2014 but does include diverse actions in order to expand what we have started and to exert our influence on the main European issues: social and union rights, TTIP, austerity-troika, the rise of the extreme right, etc.
We face important challenges to overcome our limits and to obtain results from what we have accomplished.
In order to progress towards a social, ecological, feminist and democratic Europe in 2014, our network needs your contributions more than ever.
We might receive external subsidies and financial support in 2014, but that is not certain. That is why the budget for 2014 has been established on the basis of the member ORGANISATIONS’ financial support, i.e. approximately the same amount which was received in 2013. Each organisation should contribute within the limits of its capacities. Obviously, if your organisation is able to give a little bit more than just the annual contribution, that would be welcomed J
The Coordination Committee also invites all the network organisations to pay their 2014 contribution into the bank account mentioned below:
