im Kampf zur Abschaffung der Todesstrafe zeichnen sich neue
Entwicklungen ab. In den USA – dem Schlüsselland in der Frage der
weltweiten Ächtung der Todesstrafe – bemüht sich der Bundesstaat
Missouri derzeit, eine komplett neue Hinrichtungsmethode zu etablieren,
um die mit dem „3-Gifte-Cocktail“ verbundenen logistischen und
juristischen Schwierigkeiten zu umgehen. Wie die Londoner
Menschenrechtsorganisation Reprieve Ende Mai meldete, möchte Missouri
Gefangene demnächst mit dem Betäubungsmittel Propofol umbringen.
