Das Interview mit Axel ist das letzte in unserer Reihe mit jenen
antikapitalistischen Gruppierungen, die mehr oder weniger die
Strategie verfolgen eine revolutionäre ArbeiterInnen-Linkspartei
aufzubauen. Unser Interview mit Axel ist aber auch das längste,
wodurch wir auch das erste Mal Kürzungen vornehmen mussten.
Axel nimmt im Interview Stellung zu Fragen des langfristigen
Entrismus in der Sozialdemokratie, zur heutigen SPÖ-Linken
und in diesem Zusammenhang, wie sich >der Funke<
den Aufbau einer revolutionären ArbeiterInnenpartei vorstellt.

Am Freitag, 23. April 2010 hat das "wiener solinetzwerk_arbeitskämpfe" vor der Konzernzentrale
der Mayr-Melnhof Gruppe gegen die Schließung der Kartonfabrik Deisswil (CH) demonstriert.
In einem Flugblatt begründet der lose Zusammenschluss von AktivistInnen seine Aktion:
"Wir solidarisieren uns mit den Beschäftigten der Kartonfabrik Deisswil, weil wir auch hier
in Wien immer wieder von Werkschließungen betroffen sind.

Manfred informiert uns zuerst über die Traditionen der >Linkswende<
und darüber, warum sie die Sowjetunion als staatskapitalistisch
einschätzte. Dann ging's um die Krise, wo die Linkswende
offenbar stark auf eine klassenkämpferische ÖGB-Basis setzt/hofft.
Der SPÖ-Linken wünschte Manfred schließlich viel Glück.

Sonja erklärt im Interview, warum die SLP die SPÖ als bürgerliche
Partei einschätzt. Natürlich geht es in diesem Interview, wie in un-
serer ganzen Video-Interview-Reihe, wieder um die Fragen nach
der Krise und ihre Folgen, die Uni-Protestbewegung - diesmal
nach deren großem internationalen Erfolg bei den Protesttagen vom
25.3.-1.4.10. Und zum Schluss spricht Sonja darüber, wie die SLP
an den Aufbau einer >ArbeiterInnenpartei mit einem sozialistischen
Programm< herangeht.

Außerdem gehen Roman bzw. die LSR davon
aus, dass der Krise weitere Streik- und Klassen-
kämpfe folgen werden. Roman formuliert zum
Thema der StudentInnenbewegung eine solidarische
aber auch sehr interessante Kritik. 1 +1= 2 + 1 = 3,
so funktioniert der Parteiaufbau der LSR nicht!

Ray Rogers, the campaign coordinator of the Killer Coke campaign is interviewed about the film "The Coca-Cola Case". The company has systematically engaged in a campaign to murder and terrorize union organizers in Colombia and Guatemala. The film is about the case in Federal Court in Florida to put them on trial for the murders and rapes of Coca-Cola workers and their families.

By Carmen Garcia and German Gutierrez (2009) - Canada This important
film shows the struggle to get justice for the workers and their families of
the Coke bottling plant workers in Colombia. These workers have been terrorize, murdered and raped by the Colombian company owners in complicity with US executives and are fighting for a trial for these crimes in Florida. Over 1400 Colombian trade unionists have been assassinated for union activity in past years and US companies are intimately involved in some of these murders. Through interviews with the lawyers, the conspiracy of the Coca-Cola company to destroy unions and violate democratic rights is a threat to workers and people throughout the world and this films exposes these criminal connections.

Das ORF-Weltjournal brachte Ende Februar 2010 einen beachtlich objektiven und in der
Logik antikapitalistischen Report über den Widersinn des Kapitalismus am Bei-
spiel der erneuten Spekulation von Börsen und Finanzspekulanten mit Nah-
rungsmitteln. Wir ergänzen Eugen Freunds Bericht durch Infos gegen die - auch
vom ORF mitgetragene Lügenkampagne zur Krise und gegen "Griechenland", mit
der die Herrschenden uns allen einreden wollen, wir alle, d.h. vor allem die Lohn-
& prekär Arbeitenden sollen die Budgetdefizit-Milliarden zahlen, die den Banken hi-
neingeschoben wurden. Griechische Gewerkschafter gaben dieser "Kriegserklärung"
am 10. und 24. 2.2010 die korrekte Antwort: "WIR BEZAHLEN EURE KRISE NICHT!"

lokalen Polizisten, der ganz informell den Buergermeister informiert,
dass aus seiner Gemeinde eine gut integrierte kosovarische Familie
abgeschoben werden soll. Daraufhin stehen dieser Buergermeister und 50
Andere um 4 Uhr frueh noch vor dem Eintreffen der Beamten vor der Tuer
der Familie und wollen ihnen das wieder ausreden -- und das in einer
Vorarlberger Gemeinde, die nicht einmal 2000 Seelen zaehlt.

Gekürztes Interview aus dem Film "Wir haben uns selbst
angeführt - 1523 TextilarbeiterInnen aus Novi Pazar"
Zoran hackte sich Ende April nach einem verzweifelten Kampf der TextilarbeiterInnen in Raska /Serbien vor laufender Kamera einen Finger ab. Seit 1993 hatten die ArbeiterInnen kaum Lohn bekommen und laufend gab es Entlassungen. Der Verzweiflungstat waren lange Jahre Widerstand bevorgegangen, den die serbische Regierung und die Privatisierer stets ignorierten sowie auch den Hungerstreik im April 2009. Doch die Selbstverstümmelungsaktion schreckte die Regierenden und ...Belegschaften anderer Fabriken auf. DIe AutorInnen des Films, Anna Leder und Peter Haumer waren im August 2009 in Novi Pazar/Raska und trafen Zoran, Senada und die anderen ArbeiterInnen der Textilfabrik und bekamen mit, wie sich der Widerstand der ArbeiterInnenklasse in Serbien 2009 mehr und mehr ausweitet ....
Das Interview ist gekürzt. Das ganze Interview sowie weitere Infos über die ArbeiterInnenbewegung in Serbien sind im Film "Wir haben uns selbst angeführt - über 1523 TextilarbeiterInnen aus Novi Pazar" " wurde erstmals auf dem Jahreskongress der Gewerkschaftslinken am 30. Oktober 2009 in Stuttgart gezeigt. Wir werden versuchen, den Film später auch in Wien zu zeigen.

Willi Hajek, ArbeiterInnenaktivist aus Berlin, Ex-Opel Bochum-Arbeiter, heute in alternativen basisgewerkschaftlichen Netzwerken Deutschlands und Frankreichs bis Afrika tätig. Er schildert im Interview die Unterschiede zwischen deutschen (österreichischen) und französischen Klassenkämpfen. Bloody Thursday is a one hour PBS documentary that tells the story of how West Coast dockworkers overcame huge obstacles to form their union, the ILWU. Set in the midst of the Great Depression, the film shows how longshoremen were fighting for their rights at the same time that most of their families weren’t sure where their next meal would come from. The odds were stacked against the longshoremen. Mainstream newspaper publishers, fearful of unionization efforts at their own papers, launched brutal attacks against the dockworkers and drove public sympathy against them. In addition, politicians and the police openly used their resources to side with the shipping companies against the striking dockworkers. Bloody Thursday tells the human stories of the dockworkers who stood up against these odds and changed the course of American labor history.
 
Bloody Thursday includes a range of filmed interviews with union officials and historians who provide fascinating insight to the dockworker’s struggles during the Depression. These interviews are visually supported through an extensive archive of photographs, film, and old newspapers. Dramatic accounts of the longshoremen, labor activists, and politicians who were participants in the tumultuous events of the historic West Coast strike of 1934 are brought to life by actors who read their accounts verbatim and bring a new level of emotional impact to the story through their performances.

33 The WTO: Seattle 1999-On The Tenth Anniversary

In 1999, tens of thousands joined together in Seattle to protest the
anti-labor and anti-environmental polices of the WTO. The ILWU,
Steelworkers and others speak out about why they participated in the
protest and what is it doing to their lives and communities. This
documentary inteviews dozens of trade unionists about why they went to
Seattle to protest against the WTO. Also included are clips from the
meeting of the ICFTU with WTO chair Mike Moore that was held in
Seattle prior to the WTO meeting. This was the largest US labor
demonstration in years and the video includes the mainstream media
response to the trade union demonstration as well as the massive
police attack on the protesters. It ends with a labor music video sung

Die etwa 300 freiwilligen Helfer des "Viva Gaza"-Convoy sind von England aus
gestartet, haben über 10.000 km zurückgelegt, 8 Länder durchquert und sind
mit über 100 LKWs u.a. Fahrzeugen voller Hilfsgüter in Gaza gelandet. 40 km
vor dem Grenzpunkt zum Gazastreifen wurden sie noch von der ägyptischen
Polizei blockiert und attakiert. Die Polizei schaute auch tatenlos zu, als
Fanatiker den Convoy angriffen, einige Leute verletzten und Fahrzeuge
beschädigten. Mit Hilfe der begleitenden Medien und einer entschlossenen
Aktion durchbrachen die AktivistInnen die Blockade und wurden von der
Bevölkerung in Gaza begeistert begrüßt.

On Jan 5, 2010 over 1,400 SF Hotel Workers Rallied and marched With
AFL-CIO President Trumka and Unite-Here President Wilhelm for a
contract for the 9,000 unionized hotel workers whose contracts have
expired. Over 150 workers and supporters were arrested at the Hilton
Hotel which the union is boycotting. For further information on the

01 Mike Africa jr. - Bombardierung d. MOVE Hauses, 13.Mai 1985
 
“Attention, MOVE: This Is America! You must abide by the laws of the United States!”
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Sambor declared through a loudspeaker, minutes
before the May 13, 1985 police assault on the revolutionary MOVE organization’s home.
This assault killed 5 children and 6 adults, including MOVE founder John Africa. That
morning police shot over 10,000 rounds of bullets into their West Philadelphia home,
and detonated explosives on the front, and both sides of their house. Following an
afternoon standstill, a State Police helicopter dropped a C-4 bomb, illegally supplied
by the FBI, on MOVE’s roof. The bomb started a fire that eventually destroyed 60
homes: the entire block of a middle-class black neighborhood. 13-year old Birdie
Africa and 30-year old Ramona Africa were the only survivors, after they dodged
police gunfire and escaped from the fire with permanent burn scars.
