Israel today needs the high
military and political tension inside Israel and with it's
neighbours in order to "survive" and be "united"
The ongoing
conflict is holding back any social
progress inside
Israel and any
improvement of
civil-rights and Human-right in Israel.
We also have to be aware of the number
of businesses and
companies providing technology, weapons,
food and other supplies to the
military in
Israel, USA and other countries.
In other words, making peace will
force most of those
businesses to
shutdown and some million people or more
will become unemployed.
The headline over her latest article is Israel€™s never-ending Holocaust. One of her main points is that Israel has never confronted the trauma of the Nazi holocaust and has €œturned it into a placard in the service of the national trauma, to reinforce the constant existential fear and the aggressiveness that comes with it.€...
€œThe Israeli
government doesn€™t want peace. There€™s
nothing new in that. It has been the proven
way since the establishment of the state.€..

DEMONSTRATORS IN GAZA BUFFER
ZONE
In a peaceful demonstration
into the Gaza buffer zone that
began around 10:30am today,
January 24 2012, demonstrators
report that at least 50 rounds
of live ammunition were fired
directly at Palestinian and
international solidarity
activists.

From approximately a 25 meter
distance, live ammunition was
fired by Israeli military from
watch towers, along with a few
rounds of gas canisters also
directly targeting
demonstrators. No one has been
reported injured yet
demonstrators have stated that
they will not stop their march.
At least two Israeli soldiers
have been visible on the ground
while a large military tank also
took position approximately 15
minutes following the initial
shooting of live ammunition.
With a momentary pause in
gunfire that lasted for
approximately 15 minutes,
shooting of live ammunition has
resumed in Gaza's No Go Zone. At
least 50 bullets have been shot
thus far.
